Dr. Betro-Shkane received her Doctor of Osteopathy from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY, completed an Osteopathic Internship at the St. Elizabeth-University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM) Osteopathic Internship program and her Residency at the Bassett-St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Program and completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Utica College.

Andrea Finocchiaro, DO

Dr. Finocchiaro received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania, and her Bachelor of Arts in Biology with honors from Utica College in Utica, New York. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, New York.

Dr. Hua practices full spectrum outpatient Family Medicine, including obstetrics and sees patients of all ages at our Sister Rose Vincent Family Medicine Center.  She received her medical degree from American University of Antigua College of Medicine and completed her residency at St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency Program in Utica, NY, where she served as Chief Resident.  Dr. Hua earned her Bachelor of Science at Long Island University. 

Rebecca LaValley, MD

Dr. LaValley received her medical degree from State University of New York Upstate Medical University. She completed her residency at St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency Program in Utica, NY and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lemoyne College, Syracuse, NY.

Mary Bapana, MD

Dr. Bapana received her medical degree from St. Johns Medical College in India. She completed her Family Medicine residency at MVHS.

Rashid Girshab, MD

Dr. Girshab has been a hospitalist and also serves as the vice chair for the Department of Hospital Medicine at MVHS.

Dr. Girshab earned his Doctor of Medicine from St. Matthews University School of Medicine in the Cayman Islands, and completed his residency in Family Medicine at MVHS.

Dr. Dulkin earned his medical degree from Volgograd State Medical University in Volgograd, Russia. He completed his residency in Family Practice Medicine at MVHS.

Nay Linn Aung, MD

Specialty: Family Medicine/Diabetes Management

Dr. Aung received his medical degree from the Institution of Medicine-1 in Yangon, Burma. He completed his residency at St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Program in Utica, NY. Dr. Aung also completed the Diabetes Fellowship at East Carolina University in North Carolina.

Amanda Roublick, MD

Specialty: Family Medicine/Pediatrics

Dr. Roublick earned her medical degree from the University of California in San Diego, California. She served as chief pediatric resident during her pediatrics residency training at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California, where she was named the Pediatric ICU Resident of the Year in 2014. Dr. Roublick earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology and Biopsychology from the University of California in Santa Barbara, California. 

Certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support and as a Neonatal Resuscitation Program provider. Dr. Roublick speaks Spanish in addition to English.

Theresa Martorella, MD

Specialty: Family Medicine/Pediatrics

Prior to joining the MVHS Medical Group, Dr. Martorella was affiliated with Montefiore Medical Group in the Bronx, New York, as an attending physician in a pediatric clinic.

Dr. Martorella earned her Doctor of Medicine from the New York University School of Medicine, New York, New York, and her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences summa cum laude from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She completed a Pediatric residency at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.

Board certified in Pediatrics and has teaching experience in conflict resolution and pediatric obesity prevention.

Justin Crossman, PhD

Justin Crossman, PhD, earned his Doctoral Degree from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He earned his Master of Arts from Union Institute and University, In Cincinnati, Ohio, and his Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University, in Syracuse, New York.  

Afsar Khan, MD

Specialty: Family Medicine/Emergency Medicine

Dr. Khan received his medical degree at Allama Iqbal Medical College, Iahore Pakistan. He completed his residency at St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency Program in Utica, NY. Dr. Khan has been the Director of Emergency Medicine for Mohawk Valley Health System for five years.

John Leuenberger, DO

Specialty: Family Medicine/Neuromuscular Medicine

Dr. Leuenberger received his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Erie, PA. He completed his residency at the United Health Services Family Medicine Residency Program and earned his Associates of Science in Biology from Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica, NY and his Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Management at Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY. Additionally, he completed a Neuromuscular Medicine fellowship at Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor, ME. He is also certified in Medical Acupuncture.

Sushma Kaul, MD

Dr. Kaul earned her Doctor of Medicine and a pre-medical degree in Medical Sciences from Kashmir University in Srinagar, India. She completed a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York, a fellowship in Pulmonary Diseases from St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital at Columbia University in New York, New York, a residency and internship in Internal Medicine at Catholic Medical Center, a hospital affiliated with Cornell University in Jamaica, New York, and a rotating internship in Medicine, Surgery and Obstetrics/Gynecology at Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital in Srinagar, India.

Ashok Patel, MD, FACC

Dr. Patel received his medical degree from B.J. Medical College (Ahmedabad, India). He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Coney Island Hospital (Brooklyn, NY) and a fellowship in Cardiology at Coney Island Hospital (Brooklyn, NY). 

Jonathan Wigderson, DO

Specialty: Orthopedics

Dr. Wigderson earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. He completed a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Peninsula Hospital Center in Far Rockaway, New York, and fellowships in Orthopedic Trauma at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, New York, and in Orthopedics at Booth Memorial Medical Center in Flushing, New York. He also completed a rotating internship at Mount Clemens General Hospital in Mount Clemens, Michigan.

Dr. Yeger-McKeever, MD, Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. She completed her residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

M. Asad Kahlid, MD

Dr. Khalid earned his medical degree from University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, in Houston Texas. Dr. Khalid completed his residency at University of Texas Medical Branch at Gavelston, and his fellowship at Ochsner Clinic, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr Khalid currently serves as team physician for the Utica Comets, SUNY Morrisville, Syracuse FC and multiple high schools.
