Our team is composed of the Director of Dental Services, the Director of Operations, Volunteer local general dentists and specialists, Dental Receptionists, Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, a Dental Hygiene Assistant and a Dental Sterilization Technician.
Program Administration
Mohawk Valley Health System employs a full-time director of dental services, who is responsible for providing day-to-day effective and efficient administration for the program.
Evelyn Salgado, DMD
Director of Dental Services
Dr. Evelyn Salgado received her DMD from the University of PR, Medical Sciences Campus in 2001. After completion of her residency in General Dentistry at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare, she worked at a non for profit community outreach dental clinic followed by her private dental practice for 11 years. Dr. Salgado provided leadership and ensured quality of the dental program as a Chief Dental Officer/director at Commwell Health Dental Services and as an adjunct professor/preceptor for the students at the UNC School of Dentistry at Chapel Hill, NC.
Teaching Staff
Attending staff are volunteers, scheduled on an ongoing basis and include general dentists and specialists in the fields of Endodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Pedodontics.
