Michael Gus, PT, DPT, OCS, Cert. MDT, CSCS, has more than 24 years of experience in providing outpatient Orthopaedic Physical Therapy services to patients of all ages. He is board certified as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist, is certified in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Michael is passionate about maximizing a patient’s functional ability to return to their prior or improved level of status for sport, work and other aspects of life activities. Michael strives to provide thorough and comprehensive examinations from which he develops custom and individualized treatment plans. Michael’s treatment approach focuses on empowering the patient to learn and perform an independent home program for self-management of their condition and also to implement prevention strategies for maintaining optimal health.
Michael earned his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College, and later obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Upstate Medical University. He also serves as an adjunct instructor at Utica University in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
