Melissa has over 25 years of clinical experience with MVHS in providing skilled outpatient Physical Therapy services to patients of all ages. Melissa’s expertise lies in a vast variety of diagnoses including but not limited to musculoskeletal and orthopedic injuries and neurological conditions.
In addition to providing traditional physical therapy services, Melissa administers skilled wound care services consisting of a comprehensive wound evaluation and treatment program, working closely with primary care physicians and local urgent care centers. Her specialty service of providing wound care includes sharps and enzymatic debridement as indicated and needed along with appropriate selection and application of wound care dressings to promote healthy healing and closure of open wounds. Melissa also is the Clinical Coordinator of Clinical Education for all physical therapy students at the Faxton Medical Campus and serves as a clinical instructor year round.
Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Utica University, formally known at her time of graduation as Utica College of Syracuse University and later obtained her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Utica College of Syracuse University.
