Aymen Rashid, MD, BA, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who provides comprehensive orthopedic care for children and adults. He specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including fractures, sports injuries, arthritis, joint pain and orthopedic trauma. His practice includes general orthopedics, fracture care, total joint replacement and orthopedic surgery for patients of all ages.
As a fellowship-trained spine surgeon, Dr. Rashid also provides advanced care for neck pain, back pain and complex spine conditions. He treats degenerative spine disorders, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, spinal fractures, traumatic spine injuries and spine tumors, offering both surgical and nonsurgical treatment options tailored to each patient’s needs.
Before joining Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS), Dr. Rashid served as director of the Ortho Spine Center at Slocum Dickson Medical Group. He has more than eight years of experience providing expert orthopedic and spine care.

Dr. Rashid earned his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, followed by a spine surgery fellowship at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
