The MVHS Ostomy Clinic offers a range of services, including pre- and post-operative education, stoma site selection and assistance with ostomy supplies and adjustments. It also provides long-term support, addressing any issues or questions that may arise after the initial surgery. Our goal is to ensure our ostomates in the community have the support they need to successfully care for their own stoma.
Referrals are not required! Outpatient providers (both in- and out-of-network) and patients with ostomies can call the MVHS Ostomy Clinic directly to request an Ostomy nurse appointment.

Our Ostomy nurse is available to patients with new or existing stomas who require education or develop complications such as:
- Peristomal skin breakdown or ulceration
- Fungal rash
- Decreased appliance wear time
- Product selection or refitting.
