Jalal Hyder, DO

Jalal Hyder, DO, is a physician with the Radiation Oncology office, which is part of the MVHS Cancer Center at the Faxton Campus.

Dr. Hyder brings with him a wide range of expertise in the treatment of a broad range of conditions, including breast, prostate, lung, gastrointestinal, head and neck and central nervous system malignancies, as well as select benign diseases such as keloids, heterotopic ossification and osteoarthritis. He has extensive experience delivering advanced radiation techniques and is committed to evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Prior to joining MVHS, Dr. Hyder served as a Radiation Oncologist at Commonwealth Health Radiation Oncology at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania; Nuvance Health Radiation Oncology/Vassar Brother Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York; and ProMedica Radiation Oncology/ProMedica Dorothy L. Kern Cancer Center in Fremont, Ohio.

Dr. Hyder earned his medical degree in Osteopathic Medicine at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York, New York. He completed his medical residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, and his Radiation Oncology residency at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Hyder is certified by the American Board of Radiology.
