Imel received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Allegheny College, Meadville, Pennsylvania. She received a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies and a Master of Public Health in a dual degree program at Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania.
While earning her dual degree, Imel served on several clinical rotations at Helping Hands Pediatrics, Sharon, Pennsylvania; ENT and Allergy Associates of Delaware, and Howard R. Young Correctional Institution-Behavioral Health, Wilmington, Delaware.
