Wynn Hospital of Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) has once again earned the American College of Cardiology’s (ACC) HeartCARE Center National Distinction of Excellence, placing it among the nation’s first 100 hospitals to receive the organization’s highest recognition for comprehensive cardiovascular care. The ACC recently announced the milestone, recognizing the first 100 hospitals nationwide to achieve the prestigious designation.
Wynn Hospital was the first healthcare organization in New York State to earn the HeartCARE Center designation and remains one of a select group of hospitals nationwide recognized for delivering exceptional, patient-centered cardiovascular care. The distinction reflects MVHS’s continued commitment to evidence-based care, quality improvement and outstanding patient outcomes.

Established in 2018, the ACC’s HeartCARE Center designation is the organization’s highest recognition for hospitals and health systems that demonstrate excellence in cardiovascular care through comprehensive accreditation, participation in national cardiovascular registries and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Hospitals earning the designation must meet rigorous standards that include participation in multiple ACC Accreditation Services programs and National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR) registries while demonstrating sustained excellence in patient care.
MVHS has consistently earned recognition from the ACC for its cardiovascular program. In addition to the HeartCARE Center designation, MVHS has received ACC accreditations across multiple cardiovascular service lines, reflecting its commitment to providing comprehensive, high-quality cardiac care for patients across the Mohawk Valley.
