Funds benefit our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital at Mohawk Valley Health System

The Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) Foundation, in partnership with WKTV NewsChannel 2 and PJ Green, announce the start of the 25th annual $100,000 Miracle Drawing to benefit our local Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals at MVHS. One lucky person will win $100,000 in cash. Tickets go on sale Monday, April 25, 2022

For the past two and a half decades, the $100,000 Miracle Drawing has helped create miracles for the children of our community and raised more than $6 million to benefit Maternal Child Services at MVHS. The money helps MVHS provide services for women and children with little or no insurance, support programs and training initiatives for staff and funds specialized care for the Level II Special Care Nursery, located at the St. Luke’s Campus. Funds from this year’s drawing will also go to benefit the Maternal Child Services unit in the Wynn Hospital.

“After several years of being able to help children locally at our current hospital campuses, we are truly excited to be able to look towards the future and continue our commitment to provide the best possible care to our littlest patients and families at this new state of the art facility,” said Andrea MacDiarmid, Donor Relations manager at MVHS. “We are thrilled to be having the drawing again this year, and moving forward with helping to support the future of healthcare in our community.”

Each year, this drawing raises $430,000 for babies and children at MVHS and is crucial to providing the best possible treatment to our tiniest patients.

A maximum of 4,300 tickets are available beginning Monday, April 25, 2022. The winner of the Miracle Drawing receives a $100,000 cash prize. Bonus prizes will also be given away. Tickets may be purchased for $100 by cash or check at one of our participating ticket locations.

Participating ticket locations include: AmeriCU Credit Union locations, Chanatry’s Hometown Market, Countryside Stove & Chimney, GPO Federal Credit Union locations, Jay-K Independent Lumber Corp., Remington Federal Credit Union and Special Metals Federal Credit Union.

The drawing will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 6 p.m., live on WKTV.

Projects such as the $100,000 Miracle Drawing, allow MVHS to make a difference in the lives of children and families by providing critical and life saving care, pediatric medical equipment and vital programs and services. Funds raised stay in our community, and help local children and their families.

Miracle Child Story – Frederick, Barneveld, NY

After experiencing complications during her pregnancy, Frederick’s mom gave birth to him prematurely at 32 weeks. Since he was born so early, he had to spend six weeks in our Level II Special Care Nursery at the St. Luke’s Campus. During that time, Frederick and his mom spent time with our physical and occupational therapists who worked on teaching Frederick how to feed so that he could grow strong enough to go home. Thanks to your generosity, CMN funds, the Level II Special Care Nursery and our Rehabilitation Department, Frederick was able to get the best possible care while staying close to home with family by his side.
