Laura Thayer, NP, has joined Digestive Disease Medicine at Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS).
Prior to joining MVHS, Thayer was a Gastroenterology nurse practitioner with Rome Health in Rome, New York, and Ulster Gastroenterology in Kingston, New York. She has also served as an independent nurse practitioner, performing telehealth and in-home assessments. As a registered nurse, Thayer worked at Cobleskill Regional Hospital in Cobleskill, New York; Chestnut Park Nursing and Rehabilitation in Oneonta, New York; Otsego County Public Health in Cooperstown, New York; and at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, New York.
Thayer earned her associate degree in Nursing from SUNY Morrisville in Morrisville, New York; her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from SUNY Polytechnic in Utica, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Husson University in Bangor, Maine.
