The Nursing Library at St. Elizabeth College of Nursing (SECON) provides a full range of information services to SECON Campus students, faculty and volunteers.

Library Services

The Nursing Library is staffed by two, full-time professionally trained (MLS) medical librarians who provide information/research/database searching /interlibrary services/orientation and training to nursing students, faculty and staff of St. Elizabeth College of Nursing.

The Library consists of a large study room with tables and chairs where students can study in small and larger groups. The back of the library has two small study rooms available for private or small group study. Additional group study rooms are available on the second and fourth floors of the College of Nursing. Students have access to the Nursing Library’s online collection of e-books and e-journals through Moodle. Articles or books not available at the College Library can be obtained through Interlibrary Loan at no cost from other libraries.

Searching may be done by library users themselves or the librarian can perform the search for you. If you are interested in learning how to do your own searching on any of the databases, please give the librarian a call to set up an appointment.

Students, Families and the Public

Students, families and the public are welcome to come to the library or call the librarian directly for healthcare information during the library’s staffed hours. You can also use the Ask the Librarian feature to have information packets mailed to conveniently to you.
