Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) will host a community flu shot clinic Saturday, October 3, from 9 a.m. to noon at the MVHS Boonville Medical Office.
The clinic is open to all community members, including both MVHS patients and non-patients. Individuals do not need to receive their healthcare through MVHS to participate.
The community clinic is being offered to help improve access to flu vaccination services for residents of Boonville and surrounding communities. With limited availability of pharmacy services in the area, MVHS is working to provide residents with a convenient option to receive their annual flu vaccination close to home.
Influenza can cause serious illness and can spread easily, particularly among people who are at higher risk for complications. Annual flu vaccination is recommended as an important step in protecting individuals, families and communities during flu season.
