MVHS Restricting Access to Hospital Entrances

UTICA, N.Y. – Effective Sunday, March 15, 2020, the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is restricting entrances at its hospitals to ensure the safety of our patients and staff during the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic.

At the St. Elizabeth Campus, patients and visitors should park in the parking garage and enter through the Admitting entrance on the first floor. Those needing emergency services should park in the Emergency Department (ED) lot and enter through the ED entrance. All other entrances are closed to the public.

At the St. Luke’s Campus, patients and visitors should park in Lot A and use the main hospital entrance at the front of the building. Those needing emergency services should park in the ED lot and enter through the ED entrance. All other entrances are closed to the public.

Early this week, the Faxton Campus of MVHS will also restrict entrances. More information about that is forthcoming.

“MVHS is working vigilantly to take all the measures necessary to protect our employees, physicians, patients and visitors during this pandemic,” said Kent Hall, MD, MVHS Chief Physician Executive. “We will continue to keep our community updated and informed on a regular basis. Once again we urge you to stay home and call your physician if you are sick – do not go to the Emergency Room, urgent care or your doctor’s office. Please make a call first.

“These changes are being made with the best interest of our patients, employees and our community in mind.”
